With the nominations for the Somerset Youth Parliament Elections, we’ve excitingly received a few new members of the group. One of our new members is Blake, in this article he gives his thoughts on joining the group.
I have attended my first Somerset Youth Parliament meeting on Sunday 2 November 2025 and I have learned a lot about what Youth Parliament is actually about.
I think that it’s acting as a really good way for young people to communicate with people in power. Giving young people a voice and promoting an interest in politics for young people.

Did you know that Somerset Youth Parliament isn’t just it’s elected members? Any young person in Somerset aged 10-25 years can become a member of the Somerset Youth Parliament Advisory Group.
