After an incredibly closely run election and with a record numbers of votes, we are excited to announce your new Somerset Members of Youth Parliament.
Voting took place between Monday 17 November and Monday 15 December 2025, over 1,600 children and young people across the county exercised their democratic right to vote in the Somerset Youth Parliament Elections, to elect three Somerset Members of Youth Parliament to represent them during their two-year term. We are so thankful for this record phenomenal turnout.
During the election period we received a record 26 self-nominations from candidates interested in becoming a Somerset Member of Youth Parliament, with a total of 13 of those nominees eventually standing for election. With nominees from across Somerset, the entire county was incredibly well represented.
