It’s been a really busy period for, Somerset Member of Youth Parliament (MYP), Eva recently, finishing school for the year, going on holiday and professing her campaign. Let’s catch up with her and how her campaign is going.
I have been on holiday for a few weeks but I’ve already started to move my campaign forward. Our Sunday group meeting this month was great to catch up with everyone and get back into the loop of things.
Just a little bit more about me, not only do I volunteer for Somerset Youth Parliament alongside running my campaign, I’m also the Youth Ambassador for Street Parish Council, but I’ll tell you more about that another time.
This month I’ve contacted Somerset MP’s and Councillors to introduce myself, my campaign and my ideas and to ask for any advice they may have.
I’ve drafted a short and to the point survey to gather young people’s thoughts and experiences of sports in schools/ colleges, which I aim to launch at the beginning of September. With Somerset Youth Parliament’s help I hope to promote it to as many students across Somerset as possible, and I’ll put the link in my September website article and social media.
