As young people up and down the country enter the exam season, Emma Brown, Somerset Member of Youth Parliament has written an article with some fantastic guidance.

For many young people in somerset, such as myself, we are about to enter one of the busiest sets of months in our lives; GCSE and A-Level Exam season. Where flashcards and revision books follow you around as teachers constantly count down how many days you have left until your exam.

I just wanted to write a short article to remind everyone who is currently revising, procrastinating or just relaxing! You are not alone. Exams are stressful for everyone and with increasing online pressures and academic pressures from external people its very easy to get overwhelmed.

Just remember:

  1. So many other people are in the same boat as you, most people your age over the whole country!!
  2. You just need to try your best.
  3. There are lots of people around you who are there to support you; ask someone if you need help.
  4. Finally, your results or the amount of revision you do doesn’t define you or your future at all.

Good luck to everyone who is taking exams this season!
