In February the Somerset Youth Parliament Advisory Group welcomed new member Daniel. In this article, Daniel tells us a little about himself and how he discovered Somerset Youth Parliament.
My name is Daniel and I am currently 12 years old! I go to the Castle school Taunton and am a member of the Youth Parliament’s Advisory Group. I love working inside a group and problem solving. I also enjoy English, Maths and many different sports.
I first found out about Somerset Youth Parliament group when I was 10, at a one day Children’s Parliament event with a wide range of schools from all around somerset.
My school came first place in that event, and that sparked my interest to know more about the group. After a bit of digging, I discovered Youth Parliament where young people could freely exchange thoughts and ideas in a friendly environment.
Youth Parliament is a brilliant way to have a great time talking about important issues and thoughts. This aligned perfectly in my interest and I am honoured to be in such a friendly hard working group.
I would recommend Youth Parliament for anyone who want to make a positive impact on somerset and have a jolly good time doing it.
