Reflecting back on last week’s Children’s Mental Health Week, Noah, member of Somerset Youth Parliament’s Advisory Group, gives us some tips on how you can look after your mental health.
Childrens mental health is very important – just as important as physical health. At today’s meeting we shared what’s been going well for us but apart from last month’s group meeting – which was really positive – things have been a little tricky and hard at school. Some people are not being so kind, which can affect our emotions. But sometimes you can help your own mental health and wellbeing.
Here’re some tips
- Take a deep breath
- Walk away from a situation
- Do a mindful activity
- Think about all the positive things that have happened that day
- Talk about what’s bothering you to a TRUSTED adult, or even another young person
