Each Member of Youth Parliament runs a campaign during their two-year term, supported by the Deputies and Advisory Group.
The elected members of Somerset Youth Parliament each run a campaign for their two-year term supported by their Deputies and the Advisory Group. Their work allows us to understand what changes young people want to see in the communities they live in: and it gives us a mandate to make sure those views are heard by Somerset’s decision makers.

Active Bystander Campaign
Be an Active Bystander
Somerset’s Youth Parliament has created an Active Bystander campaign to help young people feel confident to speak up and take positive action when they see something that isn’t right.
Young people have helped shape a range of resources, including videos, poster and other campaign materials, which students and schools can use to start conversations and encourage students to look out for one another.
