Deputy Member of Youth Parliament, Josh, started at University last year, it had been a tough road for him to get there, but he is now thriving academically. Let’s check in on Josh’s amazing achievements.
While my journey to university hasn’t been an easy one so far, with the support of the Somerset Council’s Engagement and Participation team staff, I have been able to get to where I am now! I am very much looking forward to completing the rest of my degree in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics here at University of The West of England (UWE).
I’ve also been recently nominated for The Exceptional Achievement Award by Strode college.
This was off the back of achieving a distinction in my T-level in Hardware and Technical Support, which allowed me to progress onto university at the UWE.
So far in my first teaching block I have studied four modules. These have included Computer Crime and Digital Evidence, Programming in C++, Introduction to Databases and Computer and Network Systems.
In all but one of these modules, I have managed to achieve a first-class grade. This gives me options in terms of where I want to go next and the path that I can take through my studies.
