During the first Sunday of May, members of the Youth Parliament Advisory Group did an activity where they looked at their personal qualities in an activity. Member of the group Noah, gives us the rundown on the activity.
On Sunday’s meeting agenda, we completed an activity looking at our personal qualities. First, we spread out some ‘qualities’ cards. Then, we picked up some qualities that we thought applied to ourselves. We also picked out some that we thought really didn’t apply to ourselves. We told the group our qualities and they said whether they were surprised or not. With the remaining qualities, we read them out and then people could claim them or give spare ones away to chosen people.
I think that this was an important task because it made us aware of what ourselves and others think about us. I personally enjoyed this because we got to know each other better which makes it easier to work as a group. We also recognised that some qualities that are often associated as ‘bad’- can actually be used for good.
