A good youth worker can make a big difference to the life of young people. Grace, member of the Youth Parliament Advisory Group, has written a lovely article on the importance of youth workers, in response to National Youth Work week earlier this month.

Great youth workers are so important, and there are so many kinds of people in different roles who work with young people. For many of us, these will be strong positive role models in our lives, which will encourage them to be the best they can be and help them build their confidence in different aspects of life. For example, at the National Youth Theatre group I attend, the staff there are really friendly and compassionate- they always look after us and make sure we have fun! My confidence has definitely grown since joining!

If you’d like to give a shout out to your youth worker, group leader, teacher – tell us why.
