Communities up and down the country hold annual events celebrate all sorts of things, among them are the events that look at our history. The Tatworth Annual Stationary Engine and Tractor Rally gives people a look at technology of the past and is a great reminder of where we came from. Intrepid reporter Noah, member of the Somerset Youth Parliament advisory group, went along to the event and tells us about his experience.

A few weeks ago, Tatworth Playing Fields held its annual Stationary Engine and Tractor Rally which I came to with my family. I think the event is a great chance for everyone, but especially young people who may not have encountered such engines before, to learn about and experience stationary engines and tractors. Many of these engines are quite old and also fascinating. This event connects the community and gives young people something to do. It is a great opportunity for young people to get out of the house, into the outdoors, and experience something new, or something familiar. You are also supporting local businesses by buying from stalls.
