We recently welcomed Josselyn to the Youth Parliament Advisory Group at our most recent meeting. In this article, Josselyn gives us some detail about herself and her experiences in the group.
Hello, I am Josselyn and I am 10 years old.
I learned about the Youth Parliament a couple of months ago at a Somerset Sustainable Futures conference in Taunton – which is a conference about future jobs and apprenticeships after school.
My specific interest is related to climate change and being eco-friendly, although I am keen to get involved in all of the other topics that Youth Parliament focuses on.
It is a great group that gives children and young people a chance to voice their concerns. When I was given a chance to join a meeting, I wasn’t sure what to expect! But, everyone is really nice, and you get to tell them what you think.
