In April Somerset Members of Youth Parliament and the advisory group met with Councillor Mike Best at County Hall. In this article Zeph, advisory group member, gives his account of the meeting.

On Monday 13 April myself and a few others from Youth Parliament and the Advisory Group met with Cllr Mike Best at County Hall.

It was really lovely that he took the time to meet with us to discuss lots of different things that impact youth, or will in the future! It was nice to know that youth voices were being heard and mattered to an important decision maker in the council.

As someone who enjoys performing in amateur productions, I was particularly interested in hearing about the plans for the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil to reopen in 2028. Maybe I’ll get to perform on that stage one day?!
